Happy New Year

And having posted the last one here’s a quick summary of ‘other stuff’ and really in no order whatsoever apart from the first item.
- Today is Akemi and I’s 10th Wedding Anniversary. Hoorah and hooray. I love her today as much if not more than I loved her ten years ago. It’s been a long decade. She’s very patient and understanding especially at the moment as I am a grumpy stressed old sod. Thank you darling.
- I got an Asus EEE PC. Very cute. Now, what the hell do I do with it? My desk at work currently has my other two laptops with an external monitor, one dual monitor iMac, one dead iBook, one semi-dead Mac Classic II. And now the EEE. I must give my precious a purpose in life. It’s running Xubuntu though and is very cool. Crap battery life though :-(
- My three kids are still great. Selina’s working very very hard. Too hard. Hugo’s a maniac. Oh, Alisa’s a maniac as well. Unfortunately Alisa tends to copy whatever Hugo does. Interesting dynamics between the kids. Selina’s the mother figure. Hugo’s the tasmanian devil figure. Alisa’s the cuddly one with the voice of a banshee.
- Been playing some great games over the holiday period. I can recommend on the Wii Super Mario Galaxy, on the DS The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and (an oldie but goldie) on the PC Company of Heroes. The latter is a year old and there’s a new version out in the last couple of months, but this old game can be had for a bargain price and probably runs better on less advanced PC setups. But damn glad the Vaio laptop has a decent graphics card on it.
The rest has just been work, work and more WORK!!! Let’s hope this year is better.
